Co-Founder & Executive Director
Ethan Rhee
Ethan is a senior at La Canada High School who is passionate about politics, media literacy, and journalism. As a member of the LA Times Insiders' Student Advisory Board and as the Executive Director of Published Points of View, he is dedicated to making change in the world through language. Ethan is also a fencer on the national circuit and a proponent of anything food-related.

Aaron Situ
Aaron is a junior residing in San Gabriel and attends Gabrielino High School. In his free time, he enjoys reading about political theory and debating. He also runs his own podcast, Sitting With Situ, which can be found here.

Incoming Director & Santa Monica Chapter Head
Talia Boren
Talia is a junior at Crossroads for Arts and Science School. She is an editor for her school paper, a co-chair on the Youth Alzheimer’s Association Board, on the advisory board for LA Times Insider, and a dedicated soccer player. In her free time, she enjoys reading, journaling, going on runs, and spending time with family and friends. Talia is a passionate journalist and looks forward to educating and empowering the next generation of writers.

Royce Xiao
On top of being the Director of Media at The Outspoken and the Director of Videography for Published Points of View, Royce is a freshman at USC's Annenberg School of Communications. He loves to skateboard and snowboard in his free time. He also enjoys filming, directing, and editing videos whenever he can.

Samuel Parks
On top of being on the media team at The Outspoken, Sam is a freshman at Carnegie Mellon University. In his free time, he loves to hike, skateboard, and most importantly, document all of it through pictures and video.

Cammie Hong
Cammie is the Editor-in-Chief of The Outspoken and a Co-Founder of Published Points of View. She is also a competitive debater with an interest in Asian studies.

Co-Director of Media Curation
Sid Pillai
Sid is a senior at La Canada Highschool interested in history, psychology, sports medicine, and paleontology. If you ever have any questions about dinosaurs or prehistoric life, he’d be more than happy to try to answer. Don’t ask him questions about psychology unless you want to get wrapped into a conversation about the nature of humanity and morality. In his spare time, he builds LEGOs, discusses Star Wars and Marvel with his friends, and wrestles competitively.

Sonal Sukhatme
Sonal is a senior at La Canada High School whose interests include engineering, history, and creative writing; she frequently does research with USC's Engineering laboratories. Sonal also enjoys oil painting, playing tennis, and reading in her free time.

East Los Angeles Chapter Head
Ryan Geng
​Ryan is a senior at La Cañada High School and aspires to work in the field of medicine. He enjoys listening to music and watching movies.

Anchorage Chapter Head
Joshua Pak
Joshua is an incoming junior at Polaris K-12 in Anchorage, Alaska. He enjoys cross-country skiing during the winter and fishing during the summer. His love for the outdoors has fueled his passion for Environmental justice and advocating for pro-conservation legislation at the state level. Joshua also volunteers with his city's Youth Court, serving as a Board of Director and judge. He is an advocate for youth empowerment, which is why journalism holds a special place in his heart. He joined the Holos Project through the High School Insider LA Times, and after finding the work rewarding and meaningful, he has joined the organization since. He hopes to branch the Holos Project to other groups who deserve a voice in journalism.

San Diego Chapter Head
Ivanna Ruiz
Ivanna is a motivated student passionate about political issues, primarily immigration policy. She has a have a strong love for writing and journalism, which is evident from her time with the LA Times High School Insider Student Advisory Board, where she met Ethan and wrote a powerful article about the significance of a cultural event in her community. Ivanna is excited to launch United for Migrant Learning, a project that provides literary support to migrant children, while considering the mental stress often faced when learning a new language. Ivanna is a competitive track and field runner, but will always dedicate time to making a positive impact on her community by mobilizing fellow youth.

Alex is a senior at El Modena High School and is the Orange County Chapter Head for Published Points of View, covering Orange County, Irvine, Anaheim, and more.
